Javier Sarmiento

Maintenance Manager

As of January 2006, Javier has been with Monticule for 3 years.

Before joining the Monticule team, Javier worked with mares, foals, and yearlings. He was active in helping in the foaling barn and later with the yearlings to prepare them for the sales.

Javier likes the Thoroughbred experience because, “I like being outdoors and the work is different every day. I especially like the maintenance aspect of farm work.”

In regards to working for Monticule, he commented, “I have the opportunity to learn a lot about the equipment on the farm (its maintenance and operation). I am also learning a lot about construction, the development of the farm, and other aspects of agriculture.”
