Vinto Tinto broke her maiden in her first start as a 2-yr-old. She went 6f in 1:13.79 winning by 1 1/4 lengths. Three weeks later she came back to win the Delta Miss Stakes going 6f in 1:12.10 winning by 6 1/2 lengths. As a 3-yr-old Vino Tinto continued to race winning at Del mar going 5f in 0:55.89.
