Dominique Tijou

Farm Manager

As of January 2006, Dominique has been with Monticule for 6 years. He had previously worked with Standardbreds in France, Italy, and the U.S. on the racetrack as well as on farms. Dominique was also studying agriculture at this time. Before coming to Monticule, he spent about a year at Hill N Dale.

What Dominique likes about working in the thoroughbred industry is the challenge of breeding and raising potential athletes and top horses. “It is my passion,” he says.

Regarding working at Monticule, Dominique says, “The size of the farm is perfect. I can see every horse every day. Dr. Knapp is great to work for and the broodmare band has great potential. It is a beautiful place to have a family and raise children.”
